Hello, I am the Principal Audiologist and founder of Hearsmart Hearing Solutions. In 1992, I completed my Master’s degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology, providing me with dual qualifications in hearing and speech services. I also completed my original training in India.

I worked in America before migrating to Australia with my husband Umesh Sharma, who was awarded a university scholarship to complete his doctoral degree from the University of Melbourne. Umesh is now a Professor in Disability and Education at Monash University. My Husband and I established Hearsmart in 2006 with a mission to provide independent, personalised care and solutions to people with hearing needs.

I love learning and will continue to update my bank of audiology knowledge. I am currently learning the Italian language and sometimes will surprise our Italian clients with a few phrases.

Away from the clinic, I enjoy being with my family and entertaining my friends. I love to travel and learn about other cultures, and look forward to my next overseas trip in the near future.
