Through consultation on the effects of noise on hearing, community outreach talks, screenings, and the dispensing of hearing protection devices, we strive to educate our patients and the general public on the importance of hearing and how to protect it.

Pensioners and Veterans – Those holding a pension card may be eligible for free hearing aids through the Office of Hearing Services (OHS). An application needs to be completed;you would need to complete Part A of the application and Part B needs to be signed by a medical practitioner. A voucher is issued once the application is processed; this voucher is required before services can be accessed. You can call us on 1300 787 792 to get a Voucher application form or applications can be downloaded, or ordered, from the OHS website at www.health.gov.au hear or contacted on 1800 500 726 for further information. Clients can then go to the clinic of their choice that offers OHS services.
Under 25 years of age – Apply through OHS and then make further arrangements with Australian Hearing.
Others (including self-funded persons from above groups) can contact Hearsmart or other private providers found under “hearing aids” in telephone book. No referral is required.
Audiometric Evaluations: Adults
The audiometric evaluation (audio) consists of testing with both speech and pure tones. Testing with pure tones is done to determine the amount of hearing loss for volume. Speech discrimination scores are obtained to estimate the loss of hearing pertaining.
Audiometric Evaluations: Pediatrics
Depending on the age of the child, different play techniques are employed to determine the amount of hearing loss in each ear using pure tones and speech stimuli. Hearing Aid Checks
We offer cleaning services for your hearing aids, and will check the function of the aids in our electro acoustic analyzer. We will also evaluate your performance with the hearing aids.
Hearing Aid Evaluations
At the hearing aid evaluation, you and your audiologist will determine which type of hearing aid is best for you and your unique needs, including the style, circuit, and number of hearing aids necessary. This choice should reflect your needs, preferences.
Hearing Aid Sales & Service
Hearing Aids – We offer a wide selection of hearing aids, including digital processing and digitally programmable, from a variety of manufacturers. We will work with you to find the best solution for your hearing healthcare needs within your budget.
Hearing Aid Warranty Service
If your hearing aid requires servicing while still under the manufacturer’s warranty, either for a new aid, or repair warranty, we will take care of the necessary paperwork and give you a loaner hearing aid to use in the meantime.
We offer tympanometric screening for middle ear disorders, such as middle ear fluid (serous otitis media) and otosclerosis.
